Dave is the retired Director, Economic Development for the City of Brockville.  

Career in community economic and development, tourism marketing, investment attraction and property negotiation

Educated at Fleming College in Economic Development, Tourism and Transportation, and University of Waterloo EcD. And Fellowship programs

43 years’ experience in economic profession with Ministry of Industry and Tourism in Owen Sound, Brockville, Ottawa and later with City in Brockvegas

Overseas experience as the Canadian representative to complete strategic plans in Loch Lomand Scotland and Mt. Snowdonia Wales as part of UK Countryside exchange

Investment attraction missions outreach in Europe and Asia

Recipient of the Inaugural VIA Rail Canada Economic Developer of the Year Award, the Royal Bank of Canada national award for economic development and Presidents Award for Tall Ships 1812 Great Lakes Challenge

Volunteer work includes: School Board Chair, President of the Eastern Ontario Economic Commission, Governor for Regional Hospital Board, President of Brockville Chamber of Commerce, Director on the National Safe Community Board, Chair of and Tall Ships festivals, Past President for Economic Development Association of Canada

Enjoys mountains, the outdoors and smiling people with a sense of humor and souls who enjoy bagpipes and accordion.  Bilingual in English and Irish!

In half century marriage to high school sweetheart Janice with two boys Darryl and Christopher and two grandchildren
